Description
As a visionary Senior Director, Artificial Intelligence (AI) at Quorum Software, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the AI Innovation Center. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI solutions across our software portfolio, contributing to the acceleration of our AI strategy. Your responsibilities will include shaping the company's AI vision, leading a cross-functional team of data scientists, ML engineers, and AI product innovators, and collaborating with product, engineering, and customer teams to introduce AI-infused applications to the market. Key Responsibilities: - Establish and Lead the AI Innovation Center to drive R&D in AI and ML technologies for energy-specific software use cases. - Define and execute the company's AI strategy, encompassing tooling, platforms, and applied AI models. - Oversee the development and deployment of ML models, agentic systems, and generative AI applications to enhance customer experience and business outcomes. - Partner closely with various teams to embed AI into product roadmaps and deliver measurable business value. - Guide and cultivate a high-performing AI & Data Science team, fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and impact. - Ensure the responsible and ethical use of AI, adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements, particularly within the energy industry. - Evaluate and select AI/ML tools, frameworks, and platforms while staying abreast of rapid advances in the field. - Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and AI research communities to drive innovation and thought leadership. Requirements: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field. A Master's degree is preferred. - 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. - Proven track record of applying AI, machine learning, and generative/agentic AI in commercial software products. - Strong understanding of AI tooling, infrastructure, and cloud-native AI/ML pipelines. - Previous experience in the energy sector or with software tailored for industrial domains. - Demonstrated ability to build and lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver AI-based solutions with tangible business impact. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership. Nice to Have: - Experience with AI agents, autonomous systems, or decision intelligence. - Familiarity with energy industry data types, standards, and use cases such as grid management, asset performance, and forecasting. - Knowledge of MLOps, data governance, and responsible AI practices.
