Experience: 6-8 years

Highly skilled, hands-on DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise, security hardening experience (CIS compliance), and end-to-end infrastructure management capabilities. This role requires deep technical expertise in Azure cloud, DevOps pipeline automation, security compliance, OS patching, and proactive cloud optimization.

The ideal candidate should be proactive, self-driven, and capable of creating their own backlog, identifying areas of improvement, and executing new POCs to optimize cloud performance, security, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure & Tenant Management

- Manage and optimize the entire Azure Tenant, ensuring compliance, security, and efficiency.

- Implement best practices for cost optimization, scalability, and resource utilization.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance Azure services such as VMs, Storage, Networking, AKS, AAD, and more

DevOps Pipeline & Automation

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (YAML) for automated deployment.

- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and Bicep.

- Enhance observability, logging, and monitoring across environments

Security & Compliance (CIS Hardening & OS Security Fixes)

- Implement CIS benchmarks for Windows & Linux security hardening.

- Proactively fix security vulnerabilities, apply patches, and upgrade OS across Test, UAT, and Production environments.

- Conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with security policies.

Optimization & Proactive Improvements

- Analyze existing cloud deployments and proactively recommend better architectures, cost optimizations, and security enhancements.

- Identify scalability bottlenecks and improve resource efficiency.

- Suggest new POCs and improvements to enhance deployment strategies.

- Cost analysis

Cross-Team Collaboration & Development Support

- Work closely with development teams to optimize cloud architecture and deployments.

- Challenge and refine development decisions if they impact security, performance, or cost.

- Provide expert guidance to the Product Owner and stakeholders for improving infrastructure and cloud strategies

Required Skills & Experience:

Azure Cloud & Infrastructure

- Strong experience with Azure Cloud, Azure Tenant Management, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and AAD.

- Expertise in scalability, security, and high-availability designs.

DevOps & Automation

- Deep knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD pipeline automation using YAML.

- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform, Ansible, Bicep.

- Hands-on scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, or Python

Security & OS Hardening

- CIS Hardening for Windows & Linux strong understanding of security baselines.

- Ability to fix vulnerabilities, apply patches, and upgrade OS across Test, UAT, and Production.

- Experience with Azure Security Center, Defender, and identity management.

- Knowledge of how to upgrade with the help of Scripts

Problem-Solving & Proactiveness

- Ability to identify weaknesses in current DevOps and cloud setup, suggest improvements, and implement POCs.
