You will play a vital role as a Senior Developer at Itron, where we are at the forefront of revolutionizing how utilities and cities manage energy and water. As a Senior Developer, your primary responsibilities will include developing, maintaining, and enhancing software solutions using C#. You will be tasked with designing, implementing, and managing DevOps pipelines to ensure smooth CI/CD processes. Your expertise in working extensively with SQL databases, including optimization, design, and troubleshooting, will be crucial. Additionally, you will leverage Azure cloud services for deploying and managing scalable solutions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features will be a key aspect of your role. Ensuring the security and performance of applications and infrastructure, as well as writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices, will be essential. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues to ensure high availability will also be part of your daily tasks. Documenting technical designs, processes, and best practices will help in maintaining clear communication within the team. Your strong expertise in programming with C# and .NET framework, hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and version control systems, proficient database management skills in SQL, and in-depth knowledge of Azure services are required for this role. Excellent analytical and debugging skills for effective problem-solving are a must-have. It would be advantageous to have experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics, knowledge of configuration management tools like Chef, hands-on experience with data pipelines, spark jobs, and ETL processes, and familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP. Understanding containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes will also be beneficial.
