As a Principal Designer - HVAC at Petrofac, your key responsibilities will include showcasing 3D Modelling skills and proficiency in the latest modelling tools. Experience with E3D and PDMS platforms in the HVAC domain is essential, with additional advantage given to those with offshore HVAC project experience. You will be responsible for developing detailed HVAC System Designs by leading various functions such as heating & cooling load calculations, designing drawings like P&IDs, D&IDs, and ducting piping layouts. Your role will also involve providing inputs for platform layouts, coordinating engineering drawings and technical documents for Inter-Discipline Checks (IDCs), as well as collaborating with other engineering disciplines for data integration. In this position, you will supervise the preparation of technical inquiry requests to vendors, participate in the technical evaluation of vendor bid offers, review vendor drawings and documents, and guide the Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE). You will ensure that design calculations are accurate, vendor equipment specifications align with client requirements, and costs remain within budgeted limits. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of 15 years of experience as an Onshore & Offshore HVAC Designer.
