Roles and Responsibilities - Collaborate closely with sales, buying, and production teams to ensure that the products align with customer preferences, market trends, and price points. - Verify patterns cut and sewn into sample garments and oversee mass production processes. - Implement best-in-class design and merchandising strategies within the formal wear category. - Take responsibility for selecting fabrics, trims, styles, and other accessories, including packaging, for development samples. - Consider technical guidelines from various departments while choosing styles, fabrics, and trims to ensure the feasibility of bulk production. - Conceptualize and design ideas through hand sketches or computer-based software. - Work with the design team, product developers, and forecasters to create products that meet specific requirements. - Stay updated on emerging fashion trends in formal wear, competitive landscape, as well as general trends related to fabrics and colors. Desired Candidate Profile - Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in designing menswear, specifically formal wear. - A graduate or postgraduate in fashion from NIFT.,
