Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain 10+ production and non-production database servers.
• Manage large-scale databases (atleast 1TB+) with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Configure, monitor, and manage replication across environments.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies to ensure database efficiency.
• Troubleshoot query performance issues and provide tuning solutions.
• Implement and manage High Availability (HA) options for self-managed MySQL environments.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Ensure database security, monitoring, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to optimize database usage.
  

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with MySQL administration.
• Exposure to MongoDB administration and operations.
• Experience working with databases of at least 1TB+ in size.
• Proven expertise in replication setup and management.
• Solid experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Understanding of HA solutions for MySQL in self-managed environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and work independently.
