Senior DBA and Techology Lead

As a Senior Sybase Database Administrator at Broadridge, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Broadridge culture and work with various customer-facing products. Key Responsibilities: - Perform all database administration tasks and be well-versed in database features, utilities, and recovery procedures. - Act as a subject matter expert for database products, ensuring proper installation and configuration to meet application requirements. - Collaborate with application teams to tune SQL for minimal resource consumption and optimal throughput. - Participate in continuous process improvement by creating scripts and procedures to enhance delivery speed. - Review capacity and predictive reports to efficiently allocate system resources. - Possess knowledge of AWS/Cloud technologies to contribute to the cloud journey. - Participate in on-call duties and provide senior-level expertise in resolving database issues. - Communicate with vendors and collaborate with Broadridge support groups to address and resolve database issues. - Proactively take corrective measures with a high sense of ownership and accountability. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 5+ years of experience as a Sybase Database Administrator. - Strong understanding of database features, utilities, and recovery procedures. - Knowledge of AWS/Cloud technologies. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high sense of ownership.
