Senior Database Administrator PostgreSQL

As a Database Engineer at Netradyne, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable and secure database solutions on AWS. Your primary responsibilities will include working closely with engineering teams to ensure optimal performance, integrity, and disaster recovery of databases like PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Snowflake, and Elasticsearch. You will be expected to monitor and optimize database performance, conduct query tuning, and configure indexing to enhance efficiency. Additionally, you will collaborate on schema design, capacity planning, and application deployment support. In this role, you will be required to develop monitoring tools and implement alert systems to ensure the health and uptime of databases. It will be crucial for you to maintain documentation for best practices, procedures, and incident response. Staying updated with the latest trends in database technologies and recommending improvements will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this position, you must hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Hands-on experience with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (Cassandra, MongoDB) databases is essential. A strong understanding of database fundamentals, performance tuning, and troubleshooting is required. Proficiency in Linux system administration, command line operations, and basic scripting knowledge in languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby is expected. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams are key to success in this role.
