Job Description

Are you an experienced SQL Server DBA with 7-14 years of expertise in database management? We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team and take on the following responsibilities: - Manage and maintain SQL Server databases in production environments, ensuring data availability, security, and integrity. - Perform routine tasks such as backups, restores, and database patching/upgrades. - Monitor and troubleshoot database performance, optimizing queries and indexing strategies for improved efficiency. - Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions like Always On Availability Groups and Database Mirroring. - Respond to production incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. - Proactively monitor database health, storage utilization, and capacity planning for reliable operation. - Implement database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with data privacy standards. - Collaborate with application development teams to design efficient database structures and optimize queries. - Document database configurations, standard operating procedures, and issue resolution workflows. Key Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Strong expertise in SQL Server performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting. - Proficiency in high availability and disaster recovery solutions like AlwaysOn, Mirroring, Replication, Log Shipping. - In-depth knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including disaster recovery testing. - Proficient in T-SQL scripting for automation and maintenance tasks. - Understanding of database security best practices, user permissions, and data encryption. - Excellent problem-solving skills and proactive database management approach. Location : Noida Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with cloud-based SQL Server Instances (Azure SQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server). - Knowledge of PowerShell and SQL scripting for automation. - Certification in database-related technologies.
