Senior Data Scientist, B2C Analytics

As a member of the Expedia Brand Analytics team at Expedia Group, you will have the opportunity to generate powerful insights that drive business growth by leveraging data and analytics. Your role will involve transforming raw data into actionable insights to design inspiring and actionable business plans in collaboration with global strategy and supply teams. Key Responsibilities: - Translate complex business questions into clear, actionable analytical frameworks and lead their execution. - Conduct deep-dive analyses using SQL, Python/R, Excel, Tableau, and other tools to deliver insights. - Lead the development of forecasting models, predictive analytics, and causal inference studies to support strategic decision-making. - Architect and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure in collaboration with data engineering teams. - Partner with senior stakeholders across marketing, product, and finance to proactively identify opportunities for growth and performance improvement. - Communicate complex analytical findings through compelling, executive-ready narratives and visualizations. - Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of best practices across the analytics community. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience in data science, business analytics, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving measurable business impact. - Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools such as Tableau. - Strong foundation in statistical modeling, machine learning, and experimentation design. - Experience working with large-scale data platforms and tools (e.g., Querybook, Teradata). - Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor insights to technical and non-technical audiences. - Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or similar. - Experience in e-commerce or the travel industry is a plus.
