What's The Role
As a Senior Data Engineer SAP S/4, SAC, you will play a key role in delivering data-driven insights and scalable analytics solutions across the organization. This role involves designing and implementing advanced SAC dashboards, analytical models, and visualizations to support strategic decision-making. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize performance, and lead technical development efforts while mentoring junior team members. Your expertise will help shape the organization's data strategy and enhance its ability to respond to market trends with agility and precision.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leverage business intelligence (BI), reporting, data modeling, analytical techniques, and big data processing to deliver actionable insights.
- Support efforts to increase revenue, improve operational efficiency, and optimize customer programs.
- Help the organization respond to emerging market trends and strengthen its competitive position.
- Provide operational and functional support in managing information throughout its entire life cycle.
- Take part in creating, storing, managing, and maintaining information in various formats.
- Implement policies and procedures to ensure centralized and secure information management.
- Facilitate seamless sharing of information across individuals, teams, organizations, and systems.
What You Bring
- 912 years of overall experience in SAP Data Engineering & Analytics Platforms
- At least 5 years of hands-on expertise in S/4 ABAP CDS & Embedded analytics plus SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), with deep functional and technical knowledge
- Successful completion of 12 end-to-end S/4 Embedded Analytics implementation projects
- Strong background in S/4 ABAP CDS View Development / S/4 Embedded Analytics
- Solid hands-on expertise on S/4 CDS build covering annotations, VDM, ABAP syntax for CDS, CDS debugging and performance tuning, AMDPs, SQL Scripting for complex logic, Publishing CDS views as Odata Services, SAP Fiori app integration
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deploy analytical models, SAC stories, and dashboards for both import and live data scenarios
- Well versed with performance optimization techniques, including lazy loading, parallel queries, query batching, and efficient data loading strategies
- Skilled in developing advanced visualizations such as tables, charts, geo maps, bookmarks, timers, data analyzers, page books, tab straps, PDF exports, smart insights, and custom themes
- Experience in designing complex reports with multiple tabs, mobile compatibility, multi-query screens, list and crosstab formats, hyperlinking, and drill-down/drill-through capabilities
- Familiarity with data models & build in SAP Datasphere is preferred
- Exposure to other data visualization tools like Power BI is a plus
- Strong data modeling skills, including ER diagrams, dimensional modeling, and star schema design
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts for stakeholders
- Capable of leading technical development teams and mentoring junior members
- Experience with SAC Planning is an advantage
- Knowledge of CSS and JavaScript is a bonus
