Senior Data Analyst HR Analytics

As a Senior Analyst at Avalara, based in the Pune office, your role involves empowering the HR team to effectively utilize data for informed decision-making and organizational success. You will collaborate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration and availability of people data across various systems and tools. Your key responsibilities will include: - Building and monitoring data pipelines daily to ensure smooth data flow for analysis. - Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues to minimize disruptions in HR operations. - Partnering with the engineering team to securely integrate people data across systems, following data governance standards. - Developing and maintaining SQL queries and scripts to support data analysis and reporting needs, ensuring data integrity and security. - Documenting processes, providing technical support and training to HR team members, and enhancing data infrastructure and processes for improved performance and scalability. To be successful in this role, you will need: - 6+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role. - Proficiency in SQL and experience with modern data stack tools like Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran. - Ability to translate business requirements into data models. - Experience with ELT processes, data pipeline development, and data security regulations. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Desirable experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, RaaS, ICIMS, Workramp, etc. - Experience with Power BI and scripting languages like Python for automating ELT processes.
