Senior Data Analyst - Google Cloud Platform

The Senior Data Analyst role requires a candidate with expertise in Power BI, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Python, and SQL. Your responsibilities will include designing data models, automating analytics workflows, and delivering business intelligence to support strategic decision-making. You will be expected to develop advanced Power BI dashboards and reports using structured and semi-structured data from BigQuery and other GCP sources. Additionally, writing and optimizing complex SQL queries (specifically BigQuery SQL) for reporting and data modeling will be a key part of your role. Automation of data preparation tasks using Python, building reusable analytics scripts, and supporting ad hoc data requests will also be essential. Collaboration with data engineers and stakeholders to define metrics, build ETL pipelines, and create scalable data models will be crucial. You will need to design and implement star/snowflake schema models and DAX measures in Power BI while ensuring data integrity, monitoring performance, and implementing security best practices across all reporting systems. Driving initiatives related to data quality, governance, and cost optimization on GCP will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will mentor junior analysts and actively contribute to the analytics strategy and roadmap. Must-Have Skills: - Expert-level SQL skills with hands-on experience in writing complex queries in BigQuery, optimizing joins, window functions, and CTEs. - Proficiency in Python including data wrangling, Pandas, NumPy, automation scripts, and API consumption. - Power BI expertise in building dashboards, using DAX, Power Query (M), custom visuals, and report performance tuning. - Hands-on experience with GCP, especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and optionally Cloud Composer or Dataflow. - Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL pipelines, and analytics workflows. - Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data insights to non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in version control (Git) and working in CI/CD environments. - Google Professional Data Engineer certification. - PL-300: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
