As a Senior Cypress Automation Tester at HCLTech, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks using Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable test automation frameworks using Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript. - Automating REST APIs using Rest Assured and validating backend services. - Implementing and maintaining BDD frameworks like Cucumber. - Leading test planning, execution, and reporting for complex web applications. - Collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA teams in Agile/Scrum environments. - Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bamboo. - Using Jira for defect tracking and GitHub for version control. To qualify for this role, you should have: - 5+ years of experience in test automation, with strong expertise in Cypress and Selenium. - Proficiency in Java, SQL, and API testing. - Experience with MongoDB, Snowflake, Maven, and Git. - A strong understanding of Agile methodologies and test lifecycle management. Additionally, preferred qualifications include exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications, and experience mentoring junior testers or leading small QA teams.
