Senior Consultant/ Team Lead- SAP ABAP (RESTful Application Programming)

As a Senior Consultant, you will be actively involved in implementation, upgrade, and support projects, delivering solutions either remotely or on-site. Your main focus will be on ABAP development objects, collaborating with remote development teams and coordinating with the Project Manager for project tracking and implementation. Responsibilities: - Understand and align activities with the organization's values and vision - Protect Intellectual Property and adhere to policies and procedures - Collaborate with other functions to gather or provide relevant data - Establish development guidelines and methodologies - Support on-site consulting team and coordinate with remote development teams - Participate in practice initiatives, sharing knowledge and promoting reusability - Prepare Technical Specifications, develop code, review code, prepare Unit Test Cases, and conduct technical research for optimal solutions - Modify ABAP code for BDC, interface programs, reports, module pools, etc. - Optimize custom programs for resource utilization and run times - Develop and update Technical Documentation based on functional requirements - Provide bug fixes within agreed time frames and quality standards - Assist with queries related to various ABAP technologies - Collaborate with the Functional team to assess operational and quality issues, conduct Error Trend Analysis, and manage problem closure - Propose ABAP redesign for performance improvement - Evaluate SAP OSS notes for relevance in ABAP operations - Demonstrate expertise in ABAP technologies such as Interactive Reporting, Dialog Programming, BAPI, RFC, SAP Scripts, Smartforms, etc. - Support business implementations by sharing best practice development skills - Work closely with SAP Functional Specialists to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance SAP functionality Essential Skills (Must Have): - Minimum 6 years of SAP ABAP experience - Work exposure on ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and RICEF, CDS Views - Excellent communication skills - Dynamic, flexible, and perseverant - Strong coding skills - Proficient in customer relationship management - Expertise in SAP technologies like Webdynpro, Adobe forms - ABAP ticket analysis skills - Ability to perform technical activities beyond coding - Build trust and act as a trusted adviser to customers - Manage customer expectations and prevent escalations - Exhibit reactiveness and constructiveness at work Preferred Skills (Good to Have): - CAP and BTP knowledge - Expertise in problem-solving - Self-motivated, fast learner, able to work independently - Proven track record of impacting results - Thrive in cross-functional teams on critical projects - Versatile thinker with knowledge across different industries, products, technologies Note: This position requires the candidate to be located in Hyderabad or willing to relocate there.
