Job Description

You will be part of the Financial Instruments and Technology Group (FIT) at Kroll, where you will be involved in developing innovative applications to meet the needs of clients, analyze investments, and provide insights into holdings. As a Senior Consultant, you will play a crucial role in expanding the technology team by leveraging your expertise in financial analysis and building complex, scalable analytic tools that ensure high performance and reliability. Your ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and liaise effectively with technical and financial professionals will be key. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include collaborating with a diverse team of developers, quantitative analysts, and modelers to create scalable valuation models and frameworks for various asset classes. You will also be tasked with designing and implementing new financial applications from inception to deployment, both internally and for clients. Additionally, integrating new modeling techniques into existing analytics libraries will be part of your role. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in math, hard science, quantitative finance, computer science, or engineering. A minimum of 6 years of professional programming experience is required, with a focus on at least 3-4 years in Python. Proficiency in working with large datasets using SQL and knowledge of quantitative models in fixed income will be advantageous. Experience in other areas such as programming in C#, C++, or VBA, modeling in Excel, or utilizing statistical modeling tools like Python & Pandas or R would also be beneficial. Demonstrating your ability to program complex analytics, abstract and document code, and utilize version control systems like git or Azure DevOps will be essential. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to learn new tasks quickly, effective communication skills, and attention to detail are traits that will contribute to your success in this role.
