Role & responsibilities:

Provides high quality, on-time input to support key initiatives supporting the growth and development of MNP Digital. Assignments range in complexity from basic dashboard development and problem solving, to data ingestion, transformation, and the development of more complex data models.

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and SQL across diverse client environments.
• Architect and implement end-to-end data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, and PowerBI. This includes a deep understanding of both direct query and import, as well as functional data transformation.
• Translate complex business requirements into actionable data models, dashboards, and semantic layers that drive decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect and optimize data modelling, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
• Implementation of Role Based Access Controls (RBAC).
• Engage directly with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and provide strategic guidance on BI best practices.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical delivery with client expectations and timelines.
• Communicate requirements to key business and technical stakeholders including data requirements, business insights, etc.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced certifications in Fabric is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Power BI, SQL, and enterprise data architecture; experience with Microsoft Fabric is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong understanding of OneLake architecture, workspace identity, and role-based access control within Fabric.
• Familiarity with integrating PowerBI with external systems like Azure SQL and Dataverse.
• Knowledge of Azure AD integration for authentication and security.
• Ability to translate technical data into business insights for clients.
• Knowledge of visual storytelling, data presentation best practices, and UX in reporting.
• Ability to optimize data refresh schedules and manage incremental loads.
• Strong experience designing, building, and optimizing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Expertise with row-level security (RLS) and multi-tenant access design.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize performance across Fabric workloads, including semantic model refreshes and pipeline execution.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.

Required Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203).
• Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) (for Intune/M365 context).
