Senior Civil Engineer - Drainage Specialist

As part of the Energy Networks team at WSP, you will be involved in delivering crucial national electricity infrastructure in the Off-Shore Electricity Transmission, On-Shore Electricity Transmission, and Distribution markets. Working in partnership with TNOs, DNOs, Contractors, and Developers, you will play a key role in planning, designing, and delivering new customer connections and network reinforcements to support green investment and new technologies. The team operates throughout the UK under a flexible hybrid setup, with a focus on encouraging and supporting individual potential through training, education, and mentorship opportunities. **Responsibilities:** - Utilize Civil3D software to prepare 3D models of Platforms, Roads, and Drainage. - Work with MicroDrainage and/or InfoDrainage software to model drainage systems. **Your Team:** - Be a key member of the Civil Engineering team within WSP's Energy sector. - Join a large and growing team with a substantial pipeline of work, including National Grid's Great Grid Upgrade Partnership. - Collaborate closely with like-minded individuals on exciting and challenging projects. - Uphold the highest ethical standards and professionalism in all aspects of your work. **Qualifications:** **Key Technical Requirements:** - Proficiency in Civil3D software. - Strong communication skills, including English language proficiency across MS Teams for effective technical communication. - Familiarity with MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage software. - Preferable experience with UK design standards such as Eurocodes and National Grid Substation requirements.
