Senior Cathlab Technologist

As a Cardiac Technologist, your role will involve providing patient care and preparation, operating and maintaining equipment, assisting during procedures, and performing other important responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Patient Preparation: Ensure patients are ready for procedures by obtaining medical history, explaining procedures, and preparing the insertion site. - Monitoring: Closely watch patients" vital signs during procedures and note any changes. - Comfort and Education: Provide emotional support and explain procedures to patients and their families. - Operating Equipment: Operate and maintain specialized equipment like fluoroscopy machines, digital imaging systems, and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. - Sterile Technique: Maintain a sterile environment and ensure the procedure room is properly prepared. - Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the lab is equipped with all necessary supplies and equipment, and properly stock, clean, and maintain lab equipment. - Assisting Physicians: Support cardiologists during procedures by positioning catheters, administering medications, and ensuring sterile conditions. - Imaging Guidance: Use imaging equipment to help guide catheters to the heart and blood vessels. - Procedure Documentation: Record procedure details, hemodynamic measurements, and other relevant information. - Radiation Safety: Operate radiation safety equipment to minimize exposure during procedures. - Emergency Situations: Assist in emergency situations, such as heart attacks, by helping with life-saving procedures. - Post-Procedure Care: Monitor patients for complications and provide aftercare instructions.
