Senior CAD Automation Engineer II

As a Senior CAD Automation Engineer at Emerson's Pervasive Sensing Team, you will play a crucial role in product addition for customer drawings by independently creating precise 3D models, assemblies, and technical drawings using SolidWorks. Your responsibilities will also include conducting comprehensive analyses of newly introduced products, creating and organizing files outlining automation processes, performing automation testing to ensure functionality, and preparing detailed documentation related to model generation and development. Collaboration with Product Engineers to support automation integration, identifying and resolving deficiencies in existing automated systems, investigating drawing-related concerns reported by global customer drawing support teams, and designing code enhancements for automation of new product lines are essential aspects of this role. Additionally, you will be responsible for writing code for ongoing project customer drawings, translating automation tool requirements into functional solutions using SolidWorks and VB.NET, and overseeing back-end server-hosted applications for consistent performance. The ideal candidate for this position focuses on continuous improvement, identifies opportunities for synergy, sets aggressive goals, and maintains high standards. With a minimum of 7 years" experience in CAD modeling, proficiency in SolidWorks CAD and PDM, as well as CAD customization, you possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications include a background in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering, knowledge of Engineering Standards, and experience in SolidWorks Macros, which would be advantageous.
