Role

Key Purpose of Role

To lead and supervise the cabin crew team on board flights, ensure highest standards of passenger service, safety, comfort, and regulatory compliance, while mentoring junior crew members and acting as a point of escalation during flights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-flight & post-flight checks:

    Ensure cabin readiness, safety equipment, service equipment, crew briefing, cabin cleanliness and documentation.
  • Supervision:

    Lead the cabin crew team on the assigned flightensuring they adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols and company service standards.
  • Safety & emergency handling:

    Monitor the cabin for safety issues, ensure compliance with safety regulations, assist in emergency procedures, first-aid or evacuation as needed, and coordinate with the cockpit/flight deck.
  • Mentoring & training:

    Provide guidance, coaching and support to junior cabin crew members; help embed service culture, SOPs and best practices.
  • Communication:

    Liaise with cockpit crew, ground staff, cabin services manager, and other departments to ensure smooth operations, timely boarding/de-boarding, issue resolution.
  • Documentation and reporting:

    Complete required flight reports, passenger service reports, incidents, irregularities, cabin cleanliness, and any deviation from standard procedures.
  • Quality & brand standards:

    Uphold the airline’s brand image in behaviour, uniform maintenance, public interaction, and in-flight service delivery.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum of 4+ years (or as stipulated) of cabin crew experience (preferably in Indian airlines) with a proven service record.
  • Strong leadership & team-management skills—able to motivate cabin crew, handle team dynamics under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills (English + local language(s) preferred) and high interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric attitude with the ability to handle demanding or special-needs passengers in a calm, professional manner.
  • Strong situational awareness, safety consciousness, and the ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Professional appearance, poise under pressure, ability to travel frequently, irregular hours, layovers and work across shifts.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Graduate (any discipline) preferred.
  • Previous supervisory or “senior cabin crew” role desirable.
  • Exposure to both domestic and short-haul regional flights.
  • Additional languages or hospitality/aviation training is a plus.
  • Familiarity with airline cabin service software / on-board sales processes (depending on airline).
