Senior Backend Software Developer

Role Overview: As a Backend Senior Software Engineer at HireRight, you will be responsible for implementing software application subsystems and services. Your role will involve leading small development projects, analyzing business requirements, creating Functional Specifications, and implementing software designs to drive a higher standard of accuracy in the solutions provided. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze, design, document, code, and test assigned tasks of medium size and complexity. - Provide accurate estimates and reports of development progress. - Design, document, and code unit test programs for assigned tasks. - Develop test programs and functional prototypes when required. - Work with product management, quality assurance, and system architects to ensure the code developed meets system requirements and design. - Participate in design and code reviews. - Assist management with the technical evaluation of issues, including alternatives, risk assessments, and recommendations. - Mentor, provide technical assistance, and delegate tasks to more junior developers as needed. Qualifications: - 7+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud (Mongo DB preferred). - 7+ years of experience working in a multi-tier distributed architecture environment. - 7 years of experience using standard software development tools (e.g., collaboration tools, IDEs, testing tools, revision control, and project management tools). - 7+ years of experience using REST APIs. - Experience working with SQL and Non-SQL databases. - Experience with debugging, performance profiling, and optimization. - Experience with agile development methodologies (i.e., Kanban, Scrum, etc.). - Understanding of multi-threading and concurrency.
