Senior Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at our company, your role will involve designing and building high-performance, distributed systems that support large-scale data analysis and real-time security intelligence. Key Responsibilities: - Design, prioritize, and build backend infrastructure and services to enhance end-to-end product experiences. - Develop and maintain multi-layer distributed systems for real-time analysis and alerting at petabyte scale. - Define and implement service architecture and RESTful APIs. - Collaborate with engineering teams to establish a world-class DevSecOps lifecycle from design to deployment. - Work with AWS as the primary cloud provider and potentially with multi-cloud environments such as Azure and GCP. - Participate in architectural tradeoff discussions and advocate for best engineering practices. Qualifications Required: - BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience. - 3-6 years of backend development experience in SaaS or cybersecurity environments (experience in Access, Identity, or Governance is a plus). - Proficiency in Golang, Java, .NET, or JavaScript with a deep understanding of ecosystem pros and tradeoffs. - Expertise in RESTful API design, distributed systems, and noSQL databases. - Experience deploying on AWS (preferred) and familiarity with CI/CD, containers, and Terraform. - Proven track record of shipping and maintaining large-scale SaaS products. - Strong grasp of performance, scalability, HA/DR, security, and data governance. - Knowledge of secure coding and DevSecOps principles.
