Senior Backend Engineer Java & Microservices

As a Lead Engineer at FICO, you will have the opportunity to define, build, and shape the future of FICO's Fraud Solutions. Working on the development of an analytic decisioning platform, you will collaborate with a highly energetic team of software engineers to create the next generation software platform for FICO's feature management capabilities. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing backend modules for FICO's feature management capability, collaborating with other team members to understand story requirements and implement them effectively, continuously improving engineering practices to enhance efficiency, reliability, and serviceability goals, evaluating new design specifications and raising quality standards, addressing security aspects of the product proactively, and staying updated with new technologies in related areas. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or related disciplines, or relevant software development experience, along with 10+ years of proficiency in Java, Microservices, Spring framework, Spring Boot, Maven/Gradle, and Git. Additionally, you should have experience in writing unit tests, developing REST & gRPC based webservices, understanding microservices architecture and design patterns, implementing application security, deploying with Docker & Kubernetes, working with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra, and following Agile or Scaled Agile software development methodologies.
