As a Senior Backend Engineer at OOLIO, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of hospitality technology with innovation and excellence. With a global presence in the UK, US, and New Zealand, we deliver cutting-edge solutions to dynamic hospitality brands worldwide. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for leading AI-driven workflow enablement, owning developer velocity and optimizing build cycles for Go and Remix. Additionally, you will define high standards for testing, drive open API design alignment, and make pragmatic engineering decisions that balance velocity and scale. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead AI-driven workflow enablement (Cursor, Devin, Windsurf, etc.) - Own developer velocity from CI fast-tracking to dev environment tooling (Nix) - Optimize build and test cycles for Go and Remix - Define and enforce high standards for unit and E2E testing - Drive open API design and alignment across internal and external teams - Write sharp RFCs, lead cross-functional architecture discussions, and ship high-leverage tooling - Make pragmatic, cost-conscious engineering decisions that balance velocity and scale **Qualifications Required:** - 7+ years of software development experience, primarily with product-based (SAAS) companies - 5-7 years of deep experience with modern Golang backends, building high scalability features from scratch - Demonstrated experience with Nodejs is a plus - Experience working in a fast-paced environment and start-ups is a plus - Strong command of CI/CD, dev environment tooling, and reproducible builds - Production-level Kubernetes experience - Hands-on experience with AI development tools (Cursor, Devin, etc.) - Strong belief in open API specs and clean contracts between systems - Demonstrated open-source contributions In addition to the challenging and rewarding work you'll be doing at OOLIO, you can also enjoy key benefits such as: - Employee Health Insurance Plan up to 3L - Annual Paid holidays - Annual Team Meetups - Performance Bonus - Flexible work environment,
