Senior Backend Developer

You will be a Senior Backend Developer at PB Health, the healthcare arm of Policybazaar, dedicated to transforming the patient healthcare journey through a cutting-edge digital hospital ecosystem. As part of the team, your primary responsibilities will include: - Developing, testing, and maintaining scalable microservices using Go (Golang) in a cloud-native environment. - Implementing and enhancing RESTful APIs and gRPC services to facilitate communication between microservices. - Ensuring system scalability, reliability, and maintainability by adhering to best practices in microservices design and deployment. - Incorporating real-time messaging and event-driven architectures with Kafka. - Collaborating closely with product managers, frontend developers, and fellow backend engineers to deliver high-quality software products. - Creating comprehensive documentation for the services you develop, covering APIs, microservices architecture, and deployment instructions. - Designing and implementing MySQL-based relational databases for structured data storage and management. - Utilizing NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DocumentDB) for unstructured or semi-structured data storage, retrieval, and query optimization. Your expertise should include: - 4-6 years of solid experience in building backend applications using Go. - Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices architectures. - Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker. - Ability to design and work with MySQL for relational data management, including query optimization, schema design, and performance tuning. - Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB) for scalable and flexible document-based storage. - Understanding of distributed system principles and best practices for scalability and fault tolerance. - Strong problem-solving skills to address complex database-related issues. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a commitment to personal growth and collaboration. - Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
