Senior Backend Developer

Roles and responsibilities :

We're looking for a strong Senior Backend Developer to join our team at Worlder TEAM to work on a suite or ecosystem of apps that are structured as AWS microservices. Responsibilities include:

• Backend development including AWS.
• Design and implement cloud solutions using AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC, to meet the needs of the organisation.
• Manage the cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, scaling, and monitoring resources to ensure they are optimised for performance and cost.
• Ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance standards, such as HIPAA, PCI, and SOC.
• Automate cloud-based processes, such as deploying and scaling applications, using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, AWS Elastic Beanstalk, and AWS Lambda.
• Manage databases using services such as Amazon RDS, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Redshift to ensure that they are optimised for performance, cost, and scalability.
• Troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, such as performance, availability, and security.
• Work with other teams, such as developers, operations, and security, to ensure that cloud-based solutions are integrated and functioning properly.
• Continuously evaluate and improve the cloud infrastructure to ensure that it meets the needs of the organisation and end-users.
• Working with frontend developers.
• Manage and mentor junior developers. 
• Liaising with and managing third party services and resources.
• Following software development best practices, including maintaining good documentations and establishing test protocols. 
• Communicating clearly the development plan and progress to the management team. 
• Performing additional duties within a start-up environment, including reasonable engineering tasks, tasks that may not be limited to your expertise, and learning new skills necessary to perform these tasks, and administrative chores such as product launch and related activities.

Mandatory requirements:

1. Strong technical background with at least 3 years of experience in executing software development.
2. Must be fluent in English both oral and written.
3. Teamwork and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Takes pride in developing high-quality and efficient software.
5. Positive attitude and willingness to learn on the job.
6. Proficiency in: 
• Server Language: Golang
• Server Framework: Echo
• Backend Architecture: Microservices & Multi-Databases
• Infrastructure: AWS, Docker, and on-premise servers
• DB: MySQL
• Source code management: GitHub
• Backend Test: Postman
• Python
