We have an urgent requirement for a Senior Azure Data Engineer with 9+ years of experience for our client Atlas Copco.

About the Role

Senior Azure Data Engineer

• Design, develop, and maintain

  end-to-end Azure data solutions

• Build and optimize

  data pipelines and data platforms

• Act as a

  technical authority

  for data engineering initiatives
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders
• Ensure

  data quality, governance, and security compliance

• Handle

  incident management, troubleshooting, and optimization

• Define and enforce

  data engineering standards best practices

• Mentor junior engineers and support team growth
• Drive

  continuous improvement

  in platform performance and cost
• Document architectures, processes, and solutions

Required Skills Experience

Must Have:

• 9+ years of experience in

  Data Engineering / Cloud Platforms

• Strong expertise in

  Azure Data Platform

  , including:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Databricks
  • Delta Lake
  • Snowflake
• Hands-on experience with

  Python, SQL, PySpark

• Strong experience with

  DevOps/DataOps practices

  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as Code
  • Azure DevOps / Jenkins / Git
• Experience in

  data validation, testing, and performance optimization

• Strong understanding of

  cloud architecture, data security governance

• Experience working in

  Agile / Scrum environments

• Excellent

  problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to make

  technical decisions and communicate effectively

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of

  Java / .NET

• Exposure to

  Azure AI services

  (Azure ML, OpenAI, Cognitive Services)
• Understanding of

  AI/ML data pipelines and integrations

• Part of the

  Global IT / Product Engineering team

• Owns

  end-to-end data solution lifecycle

• Works with

  onshore offshore teams

• Drives

  technical decisions and innovation

Note: This is a short-term contract role (3 months) with possible extension based on project requirements
