Senior Automation Lead - Playwright Testing

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Define automation strategy, standards, and best practices for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Collaborate with QA, Development, and Product teams to identify automation opportunities and design robust solutions.
• Architect scalable and maintainable test automation solutions integrated with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level automation engineers in framework development and test script implementation.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding and automation quality standards.
• Analyze automation coverage, identify gaps, and optimize test strategy.
• Ensure proper integration of API, UI, and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Drive continuous improvement in test automation efficiency, reliability, and reporting.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1-2 years in automation leadership role.
• Strong expertise in Playwright with TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of testing frameworks, test design patterns, and automation architecture.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
• Excellent mentoring and team leadership skills.
• Experience with API testing and salesforce testing.
• Knowledge of test management tools and reporting dashboards.
  

Good To Have

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Experience in performance testing and non-functional testing automation.
