Senior Associate - Business Analyst - Data and Analytics Advisory

As a Senior Associate Business Analyst specializing in the General Insurance domain, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with top General Insurance clients to drive digital transformation and enhance data-led decision-making processes throughout the insurance value chain. Your primary responsibilities will involve developing a comprehensive understanding of General Insurance operations, including policy administration, claims lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and regulatory reporting. Key Responsibilities: - Gain in-depth knowledge of General Insurance operations to support projects related to data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores. - Convert business requirements into tangible outcomes such as Business Requirement Documents, Data Dictionaries, Source-to-target mappings, and KPI-Dimension Matrix. - Design and maintain conceptual and logical insurance system models by normalizing and de-normalizing data structures and defining hierarchies. - Conduct data profiling, validation, and SQL-based analysis to ensure high-quality deliverables. - Collaborate with developers and data engineers to implement data models efficiently and optimize performance. Required Skills & Qualifications: - 5-7 years of experience in IT or Consulting, focusing on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling. - Profound understanding of insurance processes such as Policy Lifecycle, Claims Lifecycle, Underwriting & Risk Assessment, Commission & Distribution Management, Billing, and Regulatory Reporting. - Proven expertise in data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation. - Strong SQL skills for data analysis and transformation. - Familiarity with data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures. - Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models. - Excellent documentation, stakeholder management, and communication abilities. Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have): - Experience with insurance core systems like Guidewire. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry (e.g., IFRS 17). - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. - Basic understanding of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI. - Insurance certifications (e.g., LOMA, III) would be advantageous.
