Senior Associate, BCN Tools and Technology

As a member of the Benchmarking team within the Data & Insights Industries CoE at Bain Capability Network (BCN) in Gurgaon, you will play a crucial role in enhancing Bain's expertise in the consumer products sector. Your primary responsibility will involve constructing and managing comprehensive databases that capture essential industry benchmarks and performance metrics. These data assets are fundamental in enabling Bain's consultants to provide unparalleled insights and create value for clients within the consumer products industry. By leveraging advanced data analytics and staying abreast of industry trends, you will support Bain's commitment to delivering top-tier strategic guidance to its clients. In this role, you will be required to write intricate code to develop scalable and user-friendly applications utilizing a robust technology stack. Your tasks will include building, testing, installing, and maintaining databases and backends for software products, as well as managing end-to-end data product platforms. Additionally, you will contribute to acceptance testing and the implementation of new software, ensuring that customers receive the necessary information and support for a successful implementation. Moreover, you will be involved in developing secure and high-performance services and APIs, evaluating potential technologies for adoption, and ensuring the maintainability and quality of code. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in software development on Cloud-based platforms like AWS/Azure. Proficiency in Python, Advanced SQL queries, RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets is essential. Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing principles, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub, Docker, and containerization would be advantageous. Furthermore, you should possess excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical senior stakeholders.
