Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee architecture and design for residential house-construction/independent home projects (which is buildAhomes core business).
• Translate client briefs into design concepts, schematic designs, detailed drawings and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP and interior teams, contractors and site teams to ensure design intent is executed properly.
• Ensure compliance with local building regulations, zoning, safety and sustainability requirements.
• Conduct site visits, check existing conditions, supervise major design milestones on-site, review shop drawings & approvals.
• Mentor and guide junior architects/designers, review their deliverables, foster design excellence and efficiency.
• Stay updated with latest materials, construction technologies, sustainability and contemporary architectural trends; propose value-adds.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, monitor timelines, budgets, design-quality, risk factors and deliverables.
• Prepare client presentations, design boards, 3D visualisations, walkthroughs; communicate clearly to stakeholders.
• Ensure quality control in drawings, coordination, documentation and construction hand-over.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized institute.
• 3-8 years (or more) of relevant architectural design & execution experience (ideally in residential/home-construction sector; if high-rise / large scale also acceptable).
• Proficiency in architectural software: AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, SketchUp (or Rhino), 3D rendering tools (V-Ray, Lumion etc).
• Excellent design sensibility, space planning, aesthetics, detailing; strong technical understanding of construction processes, materials and finishes.
• Proven track record of leading teams and delivering architecture projects through all phases (concept construction).
• Good communication, presentation and client-facing skills. Leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Knowledge of local building codes/regulations, documentation workflows, site supervision.
• Desirable: experience in sustainable design, green building certifications, and construction management exposure.
