Senior Application Engineer, GenAI Development

As a member of the IT Enterprise Business Systems group at our organization, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and be part of an innovative team that leverages the latest features of the Pega Infinity platform, including GenAI capabilities. Your primary responsibility will involve developing applications that provide portals and buddies for both internal and external-facing portals. Collaborating closely with talented engineers and product owners worldwide, you will contribute to building highly scalable Pega Applications that impact various functional areas such as People, Corporate governance, legal, marketing, sales, demox, and customer service teams, among others. Additionally, you will be involved in enhancing existing buddies iteratively. Pega is revolutionizing the software development landscape by aiming to become the top CRM SaaS company globally. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing, developing, and implementing applications using the Pega Infinity platform and GenAI capabilities, enabling you to tackle challenging problems with leading-edge technologies. Your responsibilities at Pega will involve leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to translate requirements into feature designs, implementing them, testing, deploying, and providing ongoing support. You will work collaboratively within an Agile team following the SCRUM model, surrounded by a group of talented and fun-loving engineers. The primary technologies you will be working with include Pega Infinity and Python, with a focus split equally between Pega Application Development and Python development. To excel in this role, you should possess a strong grasp of object-oriented programming and design principles, along with the ability to independently implement high-quality code that meets engineering excellence standards. Your expertise should extend to developing highly scalable and performant features using the Pega Platform, coupled with experience in working within an agile/scrum team environment. A passion for learning new technologies, a knack for problem-solving, and effective verbal and written communication skills are also essential for success in this position. Ideally, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing applications using the Pega Platform and Python, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. A good working knowledge of the Pega Platform and certifications such as CSA/CSSA are preferred.
