Position Overview: The Accountant will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GST regulations. This role involves detailed bookkeeping, reconciling bank and customer accounts, and handling marketplace financial transactions. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities: Bookkeeping and Entry: Accurately record financial transactions and maintain general ledger entries. Ensure timely and accurate data entry for all financial activities including invoices, receipts, and payments. Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed. Customer Reconciliation: Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring all payments, credits, and adjustments are correctly applied and resolving any discrepancies. Marketplace Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile transactions from various online marketplaces. Ensure that all marketplace sales and fees are accurately recorded and reconciled with internal records. GST Compliance : Ensure compliance with Goods and Services Tax (GST) regulations. Prepare and submit GST returns, maintain proper documentation, and stay updated on changes in tax laws. Requirements: Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience (3+ years) in accounting or bookkeeping roles, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Experience with bank, customer, and marketplace reconciliations. Knowledge of GST compliance and experience preparing GST returns. Proficiency in accounting software (Tally prime) and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
