Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant in the Customer Accounting team, your role involves being responsible for investor, fund, and account level financial reporting. You will manage the fund treasury process, coordinate annual audits, and review investor and fund level tax filing requirements for real estate, debt, and private equity funds. Additionally, you will be involved in acquisitions, dispositions, and coordination with joint venture partners, third-party service providers, and property management companies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assist in preparing financial statements, client reporting information, net asset value statements, capital call and distribution notices, consultant reports, and other financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. - Act as the main point of contact for third-party property management accounting providers or third-party administrators. - Coordinate and oversee the general accounting function to ensure accuracy and maintenance of ledger accounts and financial statements. - Draft initial audit reports, provide or coordinate delivery of audit support to auditors, and work with Assistant Controller and Controller to incorporate auditor comments into the final audit report. - Review tax returns prepared by tax advisors and collaborate with the internal tax team on tax guidance. - Manage client bank accounts, including setup/closure, cash projections, and compliance. - Maintain working relationships with portfolio managers, product management, and compliance as part of the portfolio team. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. - CPA license preferred but not required. - Four or more years of related work experience in accounting. - Public Accounting background preferred for this position. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Experience with Allvue software is a plus. - Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal and external contacts. - Self-motivated, organized, and flexible with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
