Job
Description
You are a highly skilled 3D Character Artist with expertise in character design, 3D modeling, rigging, animation, and texturing. Your main responsibility will be to create stunning and high-quality 3D characters for various platforms such as games, films, AR/VR, and interactive media. It is essential that you possess a deep understanding of anatomy, topology, and animation principles, as well as proficiency in industry-standard tools and techniques. You will be involved in character design and 3D modeling by creating realistic, stylized, or fantasy 3D characters based on concept art and design specifications. Developing clean topology and UV mapping for characters while ensuring optimized polygon count for different platforms will also be part of your responsibilities. In the area of texturing and shading, you will design and apply high-quality textures, materials, and shaders using tools like Substance Painter, Photoshop, or Quixel. Working with PBR workflows for realistic material effects will be crucial for achieving the desired outcomes. When it comes to rigging and skinning, you will build animation-ready rigs for characters, including facial rigging and deformation controls. Implementing IK/FK rigging, blendshapes, and dynamic simulations to ensure seamless character movement by optimizing weight painting and skinning will be a key aspect of your role. Your animation tasks will involve creating realistic and stylized animations such as walk cycles, combat movements, facial expressions, and gestures. Working with keyframe animation and motion capture data to ensure animations follow proper timing, weight, and fluidity will be essential. Collaboration and optimization are also important aspects of this role. You will work closely with game designers, developers, and animators to integrate characters into the pipeline. Optimizing assets for real-time performance in game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine, conducting quality checks, and making refinements based on feedback will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must have proficiency in 3D software such as Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, and ZBrush. Your expertise in character modeling, rigging, animation, and texturing, along with a strong understanding of human and creature anatomy, will be essential. Experience with PBR texturing and shading techniques, knowledge of rigging techniques, and familiarity with game engines for character integration are also required. Strong artistic skills in composition, color theory, and storytelling, as well as the ability to optimize assets for real-time rendering and performance, are crucial for this position. This is a full-time job with a schedule from Monday to Friday, and the work location is in person.,
