You are looking for a Front-End Architect with 7-10 years of experience in Design Systems and Web Components to spearhead the creation of scalable, accessible, and reusable UI architectures for a client. The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in front-end technologies and practical know-how in developing component libraries and design systems for contemporary web applications. Your core skills should include proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, SCSS/SASS, CSS custom properties, and ES modules. Additionally, you should be well-versed in tools such as npm, monorepo (e.g., NX), semantic versioning, bundling, tree shaking, and Vite. Expertise in reactive properties, lifecycle methods, slots, composable/compound/controlled components, along with testing skills in Jest, Storybook, Chromatic, and a focus on a11y/WCAG compliance is required. Collaboration, technical mentorship, stakeholder management, and code reviews are also essential, as well as proficiency in API and interactive documentation tools. Your responsibilities will revolve around architecting and constructing web components using Lit, Shadow DOM, and custom elements. You will lead the development and upkeep of design systems, component libraries, and themeable UI frameworks. Defining and implementing standards for component architecture, design tokens, API design, and multi-brand theming are crucial aspects of the role. Collaboration with designers and cross-functional teams to streamline design-to-code workflows is key. Establishing best practices around versioning, semantic releases, migration guides, and contribution workflows is also a significant part of the job. As a frontend-focused intern at our company, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining various frontend tools and packages that enhance the developer experience. Your main tasks will include building reusable UI and hook libraries, wrapping internal APIs into SDKs, setting up documentation and DX tooling, configuring packaging and release automation, implementing testing and quality assurance measures, and fostering a developer feedback loop. You will have the opportunity to work with technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and modern frontend tooling. Additionally, you will be expected to have experience in building and publishing npm packages or GitHub libraries, familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD concepts, exposure to design systems and accessibility best practices, and an understanding of API and GraphQL schema design.
