Job Opening for Agronomist Qualification : Ph.D. Preferable / M.sc Experience : 15 Years Location: Tamil Nadu Roles & Responsibility: Research skills: Stay updated on the latest research and technologies in crop Rich experience in field trials and studies to improve crop management practices, and test innovative tools or techniques to lead and guide the team. Data analytical skill to arrive the meaning full decision from various trials. Net working: Need to connect with national & international research institutes, collaborate with various agencies to lead new research projects, field trials for the business requirements. Breeding: Experience in plant breeding, develop strategies to develop varieties to suit current requirement of the industry. Need to guide the team on various breeding methods in crop support the commercializing new varieties. Crop nutrition: Sound knowledge on soil analytics to evaluate nutrient levels and develop tailored fertilizer recommendations for various zones. Provide recommendations on nutrient requirements and application methods to ensure optimal nutrient uptake by the crop. Irrigation and water management: Needs to advise on micro irrigation practices and develop water management plans for crop cultivation. Training and education: Need to organize training sessions and workshops to educate farmers and crop field staff on good agricultural practices, new technologies, and advancements in crop farming. Also provide guidance on crop management techniques and help troubleshoot any issues faced by farmers. Crop planning and management: Experience to develop and implement the crop plan considering factors like soil type, nutrients, water availability etc. He should ensure the sustainable and efficient use of resources like fertilizer, water, and agrochemicals.
