Security Guard

1. Loss Prevention and Theft Deterrence

• Preventing Shoplifting: Monitoring customer behavior to identify suspicious activity, such as concealing items or working in groups to distract employees.
• Visible Deterrence: Maintaining a high-visibility presence to discourage potential criminals from attempting to steal or vandalize property.
• Bag Checks: Conducting inspections of bags at entrances or exits if store policy allows.
• Detaining Suspects: Following store protocols and legal guidelines to apprehend and detain individuals suspected of theft until law enforcement arrives.

2. Surveillance and Monitoring

• CCTV Operations: Monitoring live feeds from security cameras to detect unusual activity in aisles, entrances, and exits.
• Alarm Monitoring: Responding to triggered alarms for fire, intrusions, or exit doors.
• System Maintenance: Checking that surveillance cameras and alarm systems are functioning properly.

3. Patrolling and Physical Security

• Regular Patrols: Walking through the aisles, parking lots, and loading docks to identify potential security risks or safety hazards.
• Access Control: Monitoring entrances and exits to prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas like stockrooms or employee-only zones.
• Closing Procedures: Ensuring the store is securely locked after closing.

4. Safety and Emergency Response

• First Aid and CPR: Administering basic medical assistance to customers or employees in case of injuries or health emergencies.
• Fire/Evacuation Support: Leading evacuation procedures and managing crowd control during fire alarms or other emergencies.
• Addressing Hazards: Reporting safety risks such as spills, blocked exits, or faulty equipment.

5. Customer Service and Order Maintenance

• De-escalating Conflicts: Mediating disputes between customers or between customers and staff.
• Welcoming Customers: Acting as a friendly face to create a welcoming environment while remaining observant.
• Providing Assistance: Helping customers with directions or locating items if necessary.

6. Documentation and Reporting

• Incident Reports: Writing detailed, accurate reports on any accidents, thefts, or unusual occurrences for management, insurance, or police records.
• Log Management: Maintaining daily logs of activities, including shift handovers.

• Observation and Attention to Detail: Ability to spot anomalies quickly.
• Communication: Clear verbal and written skills for reporting incidents.
• Physical Fitness: Capability to stand for long periods and act swiftly.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
