Job Summary

Application Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Perform

  SAST, DAST, SCA, IAST

  , and manual security testing for web/mobile applications.
• Conduct

  secure code reviews

  and provide remediation guidance to developers.
• Implement and improve

  Secure SDLC

  processes and shift-left security practices.
• Perform

  threat modeling, design review, and risk assessments

  for new/existing applications.
• Integrate security tools into

  CI/CD pipelines

  (DevSecOps).
• Track, triage, and manage vulnerabilities using industry tools and frameworks (OWASP, CWE).
• Work on

  cloud application security

  (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container security (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Develop and maintain security standards, checklists, and best practices.
• Support

  incident response, application-layer investigations

  , and security tool tuning.
• Stay updated with latest CVEs, attack vectors, and emerging security trends.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of

  OWASP Top 10, CWE, SANS standards

  .
• Hands-on with security tools like

  Burp Suite, Checkmarx, Veracode, Fortify, SonarQube, Nessus, Qualys

  .
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages:

  Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, C#

  .
• Knowledge of

  API security, web security, microservices security

  .
• Understanding of cloud and container security fundamentals.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with

  Kubernetes, Docker

  , and cloud security configurations.
• Familiarity with

  GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps

  .
• Experience in bug bounty, red teaming, or penetration testing.
• Certifications:

  OSWE, OSCP, CEH, GWAPT, CSSLP

  (optional but preferred).

Education

• B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
• (Equivalent experience also considered)
