Security Engineer for Structured Data Protection

Role Overview: As a Security Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in implementing and managing technical security controls across various applications and system environments. This includes overseeing networks, middleware, software solutions, encryption, and data protection to ensure a secure IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Implement and manage IT security controls across applications, systems, and networks - Manage the day-to-day operations of security tools and solutions - Contribute to the development and improvement of security policies and standards - Provide technical support to meet project security objectives - Collaborate with project teams to design, develop, test, and deploy secure solutions - Troubleshoot and resolve security issues - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussions Qualifications Required: - Experience in cloud security, particularly Azure - Proficiency with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) - Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes - Familiarity with monitoring systems like Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor - Experience in database management, specifically MongoDB - Strong background in Linux system administration - Understanding of cybersecurity best practices - Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles - Proficiency in automation services and scripting Additional Company Details: Our Structured Data Protection team consists of Business Product Owners, Business Requirements Engineers, Solution Architects, Software & DevOps Engineers, and Quality Assurance Engineers. The members bring an average of ~8 years of relevant experience in delivering solutions and technologies. Preferred Certifications (Good to Have): - Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) - Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate - Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) - Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) In this role, you will be expected to deliver high-quality software code and documentation that meets project requirements.
