As a Security Consultant at Barclays, you will support the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects by planning, budgeting, and ensuring quality and governance standards. You will play a key role in evolving the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence to revolutionize digital offerings and provide exceptional customer experiences. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Understanding of security solutions and designs encompassing people, processes, and technology - Strong relationship-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Knowledge of information security frameworks such as ISO27001/2, NIST, PCI DSS, and their application in diverse environments - Ability to discuss technology and security controls with product developers Additionally, valued skills may include: - Knowledge of best practices for integrating security controls - Understanding of cloud-based implementations and application security principles - Familiarity with core development methodologies and associated technologies - Security qualifications or a proven track record in security consultancy and advisory - Awareness of Barclays business unit responsibilities and structure In this role based in Pune, your primary objective is to ensure secure systems and architecture across various security domains, including data security, risk management, asset security, communications, networks, software development, identity management, and more. You will be accountable for overseeing technology change, executing security risk assessments, enabling DevSecOps, supporting incident response, and collaborating with stakeholders and IT teams. As an Assistant Vice President, you are expected to advise on decision-making, contribute to policy development, and ensure operational effectiveness. If you have leadership responsibilities, you will lead complex tasks, set objectives, and coach team members. For individual contributors, you will guide team members, identify new directions for assignments, and provide advice on complex issues.
