Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and maintain security tools and systems, including firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, DLP, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms.
Configure and enforce access control policies such as user authentication, role-based access control (RBAC), and privilege management.
Monitor security alerts, respond to incidents, and follow established protocols to address vulnerabilities and breaches.
Perform regular updates, patch management, and firmware upgrades across systems and network equipment.
Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, and coordinate remediation efforts.
Manage endpoint security solutions, including encryption, anti-malware, and mobile device management policies.
Conduct audits of access logs, user activity, and network traffic to detect potential security threats or anomalies.
Support the development and implementation of organizational security policies, standards, and procedures.
Deliver security awareness training and promote cybersecurity best practices among employees.
Prepare detailed reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
35 years of hands-on experience in system or network security administration.
Proficient with enterprise-grade security tools and platforms (e.g., SIEM, EDR, DLP, firewalls).
Solid understanding of encryption standards, security protocols, authentication methods, and access controls.
Familiarity with compliance standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, or HIPAA.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, and operating systems (Windows and Linux).
