Job Title: CCTV TechnicianJob Summary:The CCTV Technician will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of CCTV surveillance systems, ensuring they function optimally for security and monitoring purposes. Key Responsibilities:Installation of CCTV Systems: Install CCTV cameras and related equipment at specified locations (indoor and outdoor). Run cables, connect wires, and configure hardware. Set up CCTV recording devices (DVR/NVR) and integrate with other security systems. System Configuration and Setup: Configure and program CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and monitors to work according to client specifications. Ensure all equipment is connected to a network for remote monitoring where applicable. Perform system tests to verify proper operation and make necessary adjustments. Maintenance and Repairs: Provide regular maintenance on CCTV systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair faults in cameras, cables, monitors, recording devices, and related hardware. Replace or repair faulty parts as needed. System Upgrades: Recommend system upgrades based on advancements in technology or customer needs. Install software updates and firmware upgrades for cameras and other devices. Client Support and Training: Offer on-site training to clients on how to operate the CCTV systems. Provide customer support for troubleshooting any issues that arise after installation. Explain the functionality of the system and its features to clients. Documentation: Maintain records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. Document system configurations and changes made during the service process. Report any issues or suggestions for improvements to management.
