You are an Investment Analyst who will be working with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, focused on the private sector in emerging markets. Your role will involve deal generation, investment transaction execution, and portfolio management to create markets, opportunities, and improve lives in developing countries. You will be responsible for executing rigorous analysis, financial modeling, ensuring portfolio data accuracy, preparing monitoring reports, and contributing to the design of sector and country strategies. Your duties will also include preparing analytical sections of strategies, client pitchbooks, sector mapping, and engaging with internal teams and clients. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, economics, or related fields, along with at least 2 years of relevant experience in areas like investment banking, private equity, or financial consulting. Strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, clear communication abilities, and a genuine dedication to development and the mission of IFC are essential. The successful candidate will join as an Investment Analyst on a three-year term contract, extendable to a maximum of five years. Key Responsibilities: - Conducting comprehensive due diligence and financial modeling - Analyzing financial statements and projections - Maintaining portfolio data accuracy and preparing monitoring reports - Assisting in the design of sector and country strategies - Crafting client presentations and sector mapping - Identifying business prospects and engaging with clients - Collaborating with internal teams and clients on data inquiries - Upholding IFC's stringent guidelines in document preparation Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, finance, economics, or related fields - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, or financial consulting - Proficiency in financial statement analysis and financial modeling - Strong attention to detail, scenario analysis, and quality of work - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Passion for development and alignment with IFC's mission, strategy, and values IFC values a Sense of Urgency, Thoughtful Risk Taking, and Empowerment and Accountability.
