Secondary Design Engineer (Protection)

Role Overview: As a Project Engineering professional, you will be responsible for designing, communicating, and implementing operational plans for engineering-based projects. This includes preparing designs, project controls, specifications, schedules, cost estimates, and overseeing the production, transportation, installation, testing, and commissioning of infrastructure and equipment. You will monitor progress, identify operational issues, and ensure the timely completion of projects. Your work will involve preparing engineering standards, designs, work specifications, project schedules, budgets, and selecting necessary resources. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare Key Line Diagrams, Protection Interface, and Feeder Block Diagrams for engineering documentation. - Analyze tender documents, technical specifications, and prepare Design Intent Documents during Tender Review. - Develop Protection Single Line Diagrams, Signal and Trip Matrix, Schematic Diagrams, and Circuit Diagrams. - Create Cable Block Diagrams, Cable Schedules, BoQ estimations, and Wiring Lists for efficient Cable Management. - Identify and modify existing drawings using standard markups for Drawing Modifications. - Design Low Voltage AC Panels, DC Panels, Auxiliary Transformers, Battery & Charger Sizing, and ACDC Cable Sizing for Auxiliary Power Systems. - Work on AIS & GIS secondary designs, conduct risk assessments, estimate engineering hours, and prepare various design specifications. - Use Hitachi energy configuration tools, set up testing procedures, provide progress updates to Project Managers, and ensure timely project delivery. - Participate in design review processes, contribute to the team's success, and ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering. - 4-7 years of experience in relevant fields. - Proficiency in 2D CAD design tools, E3, modern protection & control systems software & hardware tools. - Familiarity with IEEE, IEC protocols (101, 103, 104, 6185). - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Experience in substation tendering and project engineering activities. - Commitment to high-quality digital solutions. - Experience in Secondary CRP Design, Relays/IEDs configuration, testing, and commissioning. - Strong design capability in Protection Systems/Power Systems. - High technical experience with strong coordination skills. - Proficiency in spoken and written English.,
