Job Title: Senior Vice President (SVP) Cyber Policy & Cyber Academy Basic Qualifications (Mandatory) BE/ B.Tech in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. OR MCA/ M.E./ M.Tech/ M.Sc in any discipline from a University/Institution/Board recognized by Govt. of India/approved by Govt. Regulatory bodies. Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, PMP , or MBA (Technology Management) . Experience (Mandatory) 15+ years overall experience , with 8–10 years in Cyber Policy and Cyber Defense at a senior level . Experience (Preferred) Experience in working with or managing a cybersecurity advisory environment . Experience in setting up or managing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) . Strong knowledge of Banking & Financial Services Industry (BFSI) regulations & compliance , including but not limited to: RBI Cybersecurity Framework SEBI Cybersecurity Guidelines Data Protection Laws PCI-DSS / NIST Frameworks Other BFSI-specific regulatory compliance requirements (Note: Document submission during application is not mandatory. Key Skills & Competencies The SVP – Cyber Policy & Cyber Academy must bring a unique mix of policy expertise, cybersecurity knowledge, and leadership capabilities . Leadership & Strategic Skills Ability to lead, mentor, and develop cross-functional teams . Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to operate in high-pressure environments. Ability to align policy and training initiatives with SBI’s broader cybersecurity strategy . Strong ethical awareness and integrity, upholding values of public service, ethics, and accountability . Policy, Cybersecurity & Program Management Skills Expertise in Cybersecurity Policy, Cyber Defense, and Governance frameworks . Experience in designing and delivering cybersecurity-related policy and advisory programs . Capability to develop and lead a Cyber Academy , including knowledge dissemination, research, and awareness initiatives. Understanding of emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies . Proven ability to manage innovation-driven programs with end-to-end ownership. Strong knowledge of program management principles, project planning, and delivery management . Interpersonal & Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication , with the ability to explain complex cyber issues to diverse stakeholders (technical, regulatory, and non-technical). Strong interpersonal skills to engage with senior stakeholders in Government, Academia, BFSI, and Industry . Ability to foster a collaborative, innovation-driven environment . Role Objective The Senior Vice President – Cyber Policy & Cyber Academy will: Lead SBI’s cyber policy development, advisory functions, and Cyber Academy initiatives . Drive policy formulation, training, awareness, and capacity-building programs to strengthen SBI’s cybersecurity posture. Ensure cyber policy research, advisory, and learning programs are aligned with global best practices, regulatory requirements, and SBI’s objectives . Act as a thought leader, enhancing SBI’s position as a pioneer in cybersecurity policy and education .
