job Title: Aerospace Design Engineer (CATIA - MBD) Location: Chennai Experience: 5 to 15 Years Band: E2.1 Start Date: 26-May-25 Project Duration: 12 Months Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Aerospace Design Engineer with a strong background in Interiors & Payloads Design, Structural Design, and Installation for our prestigious project with Boeing India Pvt. Ltd. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop aircraft interiors and payloads (e.g., emergency equipment, galleys) and structural components (e.g., floor panels, secondary structures). Utilize CATIA for 3D Modeling, Drafting, and Model-Based Definition (MBD) creation. Create and manage detailed, assembly, and installation drawings. Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and perform engineering investigations for product quality. Select and recommend appropriate aerospace materials while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design quality and adherence to customer specifications. Work with ENOVIA for data management and ensure proper version control of design files. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., FAA, EASA). Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering, or equivalent disciplines. 5 to 15 years of relevant work experience in Aerospace Design. Proven experience in Interiors & Payloads Design and Installation. Expertise in Structural Design and Installation (floor panels, secondary structures). Strong hands-on experience with CATIA (Modeling, Drafting, MBD) and ENOVIA. In-depth knowledge of aerospace material properties, flammability, and design standards. Proficiency in tolerance stack-up analysis and engineering quality investigations. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
