We are urgently hiring for - "Design Engineer - Seat Structure" for our Global MNC. ***Looking for - Immediate to 60 days notice period candidates ***** Experience - 4+ yrs Work Locatio n - Pune, Hinjewadi ( Work from Office ) JD - Main aim for job - Works in Seats Structure Design department. Creates/develops/realizes Seat Structure designs in CATIA V5, that dictates the geometric form and describe the control of manufactured products. Active in development of concepts in accordance with customer requirements and Product Workshops. Develops design concepts into qualitative cost effective designs. - Must be a team player and is ready to work as independent contributor or as part of the team. - When required represents all design activities during product development, which calls for close co-operation with project engineer and test engineer. Interfaces and seeks agreement on design details, perhaps with customer/suppliers. - Is eager to learn and aligns personal learning objectives with the growth path of the department and company. - Duties & Resposibilities 1. Independently creats and modifies designs, concepts, assembly drawings, single part drawings, bill of materials for new and series production products in accordance with: Company standards and procedures, Product workshops, inputs from various Project CFTs, Customer specification, GD&T Use of standard components, Considering maximum carry over of designs and parts, Company production feasibilities and standards, Seats Legal requirements, internal and external norms and standards, 2. Perform technical calculations (strength, weight, package), simulations (kinematics, Catia GAS and GPS) and organize complex technical calculations and interprete results. 3. Capable of calculating functional dimensions and tolerances in accordance with the results of testing and simulation. 4. Detailing of concepts, designs and changes in close coordination with design engineer, test, sample building, production planning and purchasing. 5. Realization of principle investigations for product improvement, realization of innovations. 6. Active participation in development team meetings, formal design/engineering reviews (various design checklists, DFMEA, FEM meetinges, specification review, etc), and other review meetings with CFTs like Test Engineer and Project Engineer etc... 7. Takes ownership and ensures designs being made available in a timely manner to support releases, co-ordinates/negotiates on alternate design completion dates. 8. Is open to share his expertise and knowledge within the team and with other CFTs. Organizational complexity of duties ( interface ) – Customer team(Europe, NA and Asia): Technical support Production planning / plant: Considering feasibility issues, support within design related production issues Component development(SKE): Using the standard component tool kit consequently Advanced development(ZVE): Picking up adv. development concepts and transfer up to SOP Test / FEA(SVS): Common fixation of critical tests, analysis and measure definition Customer(internal(SKS) and external): Technical counterpart within design related tasks Quality department: support within design related issues Standardisation department: consulting for design related latest standards and norms in projects
