Search Engine Optimization Intern

Role & responsibilities

1. Keyword Research

• Conduct keyword research using tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, or SEMrush
  
• Analyze search intent and identify ranking opportunities
  

2. On-Page Optimization

• Optimize meta titles, descriptions, headers, and URLs
  
• Assist in creating SEO-friendly content outlines
  
• Check keyword placements and improve page structure
  
• Optimize images (alt tags, file names)
  

3. Technical SEO Support

• Monitor website performance and Core Web Vitals
  
• Identify crawling/indexing issues using Google Search Console
  
• Assist with sitemap and robots.txt audits
  

4. Off-Page SEO

• Help with link-building activities
  
• Research backlink opportunities
  
• Track outreach and link performance
  

5. Content Support

• Work with the content team to produce SEO-optimized blogs
  
• Analyze top-ranking pages and competitor content
  

6. Reporting & Analytics

• Track website performance using Google Analytics & Search Console
  
• Prepare weekly/monthly SEO reports
  
• Suggest improvements based on insights

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong interest in SEO and digital marketing
  
• Basic understanding of search engines and ranking factors
  
• Familiarity with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush) is a plus
  
• Good communication and research skills
  
• Ability to learn quickly and follow best practices
  
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (optional but beneficial)
  
• Detail-oriented with good analytical thinking
  
• Ability to work independently and in a team
